Rupert Noffs is an Australian singer, actor, writer and producer working across cabaret, musical theatre, live comedy and television.
Rupert Noffs is a trained singer and actor, having studied at the National Institute of Dramatic Art and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. He is widely recognised for his work in Choose Bob: 40 Ridiculous Years, which toured nationally twice alongside comedy icon Mark Trevorrow. In the show, Rupert performs as Philip McKrevis — Bob Downe’s wide-eyed “nepo-nephew” — while also providing backing vocals and the off-stage “voice of Siri”.
Choose Bob appeared across Australia’s major comedy festivals in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth, before returning for a late-2025 regional tour that played some of the country’s most iconic theatres, including the Theatre Royal and Her Majesty’s in Ballarat. Rupert is also a founding performer in Old Friends Sing Sondheim, which toured nationally in 2024, and the sold-out two month Sydney residency Old Friends Sing Sundays at Ginger’s at The Oxford, in 2025.
Both projects are co-produced and performed with Mark Trevorrow, and ARIA Award–winning musical director Bev Kennedy.
The grandson of Rev. Ted Noffs — founder of the Wayside Chapel, Lifeline and the Noffs Foundation — Rupert grew up surrounded by big ideas, bold personalities and a deep belief in the power of storytelling.
Rupert’s influences are proudly eclectic: the physical storytelling of Charlie Chaplin, the precision and heart of Carol Burnett and Lily Tomlin, the theatrical nerve of Bette Midler and Barbra Streisand, and the musical truth-telling of Tony Bennett and Bob Dylan.
On screen, Rupert appeared as a cast member on Channel Seven’s All Together Now, working alongside Julia Zemiro and Ronan Keating, and has appeared opposite Jacki Weaver. During seven years living and working in New York City, he performed regularly at Joe’s Pub and Parkside Lounge, collaborating with cabaret icon Amber Martin (Scissor Sisters).
Away from the stage, Rupert spent more than a decade as a restaurateur and hospitality entrepreneur, co-owning venues in New York City and Australia — an education in timing, people, pressure and recovery. It turns out running a restaurant is excellent training for live performance.
Rupert continues to work closely with the Noffs Foundation and remains deeply grateful for the legacy of compassion, service and social justice — and for the many people who continue that work today.
Rupert’s latest cabaret, Broadway, Baby!, will be performed at Ginger’s on Sunday February 22, 2026 alongside Bev Kennedy, with tickets now on sale at:
