Rupert Noffs is an Australian singer, actor and producer working across cabaret, musical theatre, live comedy and television.
Trained at NIDA and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Rupert is widely recognised for his work in Choose Bob: 40 Ridiculous Years, touring nationally alongside comedy icon, Mark Trevorrow, through some of Australia’s most iconic theatres, including the Theatre Royal Hobart, Her Majesty’s Theatre Ballarat, and a sold-out Enmore Theatre. In the show, Rupert performs as Philip McKrevis — Bob Downe’s “nepo-nephew” — while also providing backing vocals and the off-stage voice of Siri.
The show appeared across Australia’s major comedy festivals — Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth — before returning for a second national tour in late 2025.
Rupert is also a founding performer in Old Friends Sing Sondheim, which toured nationally, and the ongoing sold-out Sydney residency Old Friends Sing Sundays at Ginger’s, The Oxford Hotel. Both projects are created and performed with Mark Trevorrow and musical director Bev Kennedy, whose musical authority and shared sense of mischief have shaped much of Rupert’s recent work.
His influences are proudly eclectic: the physical storytelling of Charlie Chaplin, the precision and heart of Carol Burnett and Lily Tomlin, the theatrical nerve of Bette Midler and Barbra Streisand, and the musical truth-telling of Tony Bennett and Bob Dylan. A long creative partnership with Bob Downe has only deepened his love of character, satire and saying the quiet part out loud.
On screen, Rupert appeared as a cast member on Channel Seven’s All Together Now, working alongside Julia Zemiro and Ronan Keating, and has appeared opposite Jacki Weaver. During seven years living and working in New York City, he performed regularly at Joe’s Pub and Parkside Lounge, collaborating with cabaret icon Amber Martin (Scissor Sisters).
Away from the stage, Rupert spent over a decade as a restaurateur and hospitality entrepreneur, co-owning venues in New York City and Australia — an education in timing, people, pressure and recovery. It turns out running a restaurant is excellent training for live performance.
Rupert is the grandson of renowned humanitarian Rev. Ted Noffs, founder of the Wayside Chapel, Lifeline and Noffs Foundation.
